Chiwetel Ejiofor and Michael B. Jordan to star in ‘Triple Nine’

Two of Hollywood’s hottest African-American actors may be teaming up for a new film titled, Triple Nine.

According to S&A, Twelve Years a Slave  star Chiwetel Ejiofor and Fruitvale Station’s  Michael B. Jordan are currently in talks to star in John Hillcoat’s crime drama which also stars Casey Affleck, Christoph Waltz and Kate Winslet.

Triple Nine  is based on “an L.A. heist in which a group of thieves plan to kill a cop to divert authorities from their own scene across town.  999 refers to police code indicating that an officer needs immediate assistance.”

Reportedly Ejiofor would play the mastermind behind the robbery and Jordan would play a street-wise copy that teams up with the thieves to set up the targeted officer played by Affleck.  According to the film’s imdb page, Triple Nine  will be release in 2015.
