ESPN is reporting that Oklahoma City Thunder forward, Kevin Durant may have signed with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports. Reportedly, the deal was confirmed on Friday night that Durant was leaving Landmark sports to join HOV’s new sports agency.

According to ESPN sources, Durant wants to rebuild his brand through Roc Nation Sports since he signed an $85 million extension with the Thunder in 2010 that will take him through the 2015-16 seasons. Technically, Jay-Z a.k.a Shawn Carter can assist Durant with his marketing endeavors without violating the NBA rules that prohibit Carter from representing a player and owning a piece of a team. However, if Carter wants to represent Durant as his agent, then he would would have to sell his small share of the Brooklyn Nets. So far, a spokesperson for Roc Nation told ESPN that Durant is not currently a client and Jay-Z’s ownership sale has not yet been completed.

Durant is considered one of the NBA’s most marketable players and already has endorsement deals with Nike, Gatorade, Sprint and others. This new deal will be his third agent in his six years in the league. He was once represented by Goodwin Sports.

If negotiations work out as planned, Durant will join an impressive Roc Nation Sports roster that already includes New York Yankees star Robinson Cano, New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith, and former Notre Dame guard Skylar Diggins, who was recently selected third by the WNBA’s Tulsa Shock.

What do you think about the new partnership between Durant and Roc Nation Sports?
