Back in March, RC reported that award winning R&B Girl Group TLC was looking at scripts for a proposed biopic about their lives. Well, VH1 is finally moving forward with the project that will be the first in a series of scripted music focused TV movies.
According to reports, screenwriter Kate Lanier (“What’s Love Got to Do With It,” ‘Set It Off,” “Beauty Shop”) has penned the screenplay with Chilli and T-Boz on board as consultants and executive producers. Principal photography is scheduled to begin in early 2013.
So far, no actors have been attached to the “untitled” project. However, Chilli indicated back in March that they were looking for fresh, new faces to fill these iconic roles. RC will keep you posted as this one develops.
