MTV is reporting that former “America’s Best Dance Crew” judge Lil Mama has landed the role of a lifetime. The feisty, 23-year-old rap star will play Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes in the highly anticipated VH1 biopic about the 90’s girl group TLC. Apparently, MC Lyte spilled the “T” during a red carpet interview at the VIBE Impact Awards, held this weekend. She is currently working with Lil Mama on her next album.
“I don’t know if I’m supposed to say, but I will,” Lyte said to HipHollywood.com. “She just got the role of Left Eye in TLC’s new movie.”

Lopes, was the outspoken, trend-setting member of the Grammy-winning group who died in a tragic car crash at 30. The surviving members of TLC, Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas, will serve as consultants and executive producers to the film, which is said to be in pre-productions.
