In February fans learned that VH1’s Single Ladies had been cancelled, the final show aired March 27 leaving those of us who love the series wondering.  The show was cancelled because the network is apparently ‘going in a different direction.’

The one-hour drama which starred LisaRaye McCoy, Charity Shea and Denise Vasi and also featured actors D.B. Woodside, Terrell Tilford, Harold House Moore, and Travis Winfrey, consistently landed solid ratings that grew each year.  Newcomer LeToya Luckett also added some spice to the show.

Season one of Single Ladies premiered with 2.9 million viewers, season two had 3.2 million and season three boasted 3.5 million. Despite its success and growth, VH1 ended the show.

Well, sources are saying the show may have a new home!

Producers of the series have began putting out feelers with other networks to see if there could be interest in picking up the show.  One of the networks mentioned was BET – if BET were to pickup the show, it would be the second show they acquired after another network cancelled it.  After the CW Network cancelled The Game in 2009, BET picked the show up in 2010 and re-launched the series in January 2011.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed and RC will keep you posted.
