Written by | Ray Cornelius

RayCornelius.com is sending up prayers for “Double Grammy / Double Oscar Award-winning balladeer” Peabo Bryson. The music icon suffered a mild heart attack at his home over the weekend on Saturday, April 27, 2019.

According to a representative, Mr. Bryson is “currently listed in stable condition and is awake and responsive. Both his medical team and family are optimistic for a speedy recovery.”

Mr. Bryson is one of the original “Kings of R&B.” He is best known for performing decades of amazing music including the smash hit songs—“Feel the Fire,” “Tonight I Celebrate My Love,” “Can You Stop the Rain,” “If Ever You’re in My Arms Again,” plus the Disney soundtrack gems “Beauty and the Beast” featuring Celine Dion and “A Whole New World’ with Regina Belle.

Mr. Bryson was also a guest on my UPFRONT radio show last August where he talked about his current album, Stand For Love, his new son and much more. Click here to listen.

RC will keep you posted as he continues to recover.
