Congratulations goes out to versatile actress and Emmy Award-winning performer Regina King. She picked up her first Golden Globe award Sunday night for her portrayal as Sharon Rivers in the film adaptation of James Baldwin‘s If Beale Street Could Talk.

King looked radiant in her ice pink Alberta Ferretti gown as she vowed to include more women in her future projects.

“I am going to use my platform to say right now that in the next two years, everything that I produce and I am making a vow and it’s going to be tough to make sure that everything that I produce, that it’s fifty percent women.”

In addition to the nomination for her role in Beale Street, King was also nominated for her work in the Netflix series, Seven Seconds.

RC will keep our fingers crossed with the hopes that King will receive an Oscar for her performance. Stay tuned as nominations will be announced on Tuesday, January 22.
