Ledisi and Adam Lambert added to NBC’s ‘Wicked’ Halloween Special

NBC has added more star power to A Very Wicked Halloween: Celebrating 15 Years on Broadway Special.

The network has recruited American Idol star Adam Lambert as well as Grammy nominated singer and budding actress Ledisi to join Kristin Chenoweth, Idina Menzel, Ariana Grande and Pentatonix for the highly anticipated concert tribute.

Wicked tells the untold story of the Witches in the Land of Oz long before Dorothy’s arrival.The original show was nominated for 10 Tony Awards in 2004, winning three, including the Best Actress in a Musical for Menzel.

According to BILLBOARD, Lambert is a Wicked alum and toured with the national company. Ledisi appeared as Mahalia Jackson in Ava DuVernay’s epic film Selma and is currently prepping for the musical version of The Preacher’s Wife.

A Very Wicked Halloween Celebrating 15 Years on Broadway Special airs on October 29 at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
