BET is adding more star power to the second season of its HBCU drama, “The Quad.”

According to S&A, TV veterans Sheryl Lee Ralph and Deborah Morgan will have recurring roles along with hip hop icon Big Boi and “Survivor’s Remorse” star Ronreaco Lee. If you recall, Lee appeared on the first season as a rival band director and the arch enemy to Ruben Santiago-Hudson‘s character.

“The Quad” follows an ambitious yet troubled Dr. Eva Fletcher (Anika Noni Rose), the newly-elected President of the fictional Georgia A&M University, who is charged with saving the prestigious HBCU from bankruptcy and her twenty-year marriage from crumbling. At the same time, she must manage to repair a tumultuous relationship with her rebellious only daughter while handling a diverse group of freshman who keep her hands full.

Also returning this season are series regulars Peyton Alex Smith, Jazz Raycole, Zoe Renee, Jake Allyn, Michelle DeFraites, Sean Blakemore, Jasming Guy and Larry Rhem.

“The Quad” is currently filming on the grounds of the Atlanta University Center and will return to BET on January 23 at 10 p.m.

Stay tuned…
