Grammy-winning singer and Broadway star Fantasia released her very first Christmas album this week titled, “Christmas After Midnight.” The holiday project features such classic tunes as “This Christmas,” “Silent Night,” “Merry Christmas, Baby,” and “Give Love on Christmas Day.”

“This album pays homage to my grandmother Addie Collins (she was born on Christmas Day) and is a gift from me to all of those who remember their grandparents or parents putting up Christmas trees and being a blessing into people’s lives. It also pays homage to the great singers like Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra and Ray Charles who stood strong in what they believed in…the music. I hope that it blesses you,” said the American Idol winner on her social media pages.

In addition to dropping the album, Fantasia is also going on tour this fall with stops  in Chicago, Nashville, Houston, St. Louis, Detroit, New York, Washington D.C. and here at Atlanta’s own Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center.
