Some of the biggest names in music, TV and film will participate in this year’s Pure Heat Community Festival during Atlanta’s Black Gay Pride. The all-day event will take place on Sunday, September 3rd at the city’s historic Piedmont Park and will feature an awards presentation to reality starlet turned hip hop diva Cardi B and singer-songwriter Sevyn Streeter.
As always, this year’s Festival will be equipped with market and food vendors, performances by local performers, entertainment, educational forums, prizes & giveaways. YouTube sensation Todrick Hall, along with HIV activist Deondre Moore, will also be appearing as part of “Positively Fearless,” a movement that celebrates the bravery that brings people living with HIV together.
“Atlanta Black Gay Pride is a dynamic opportunity to showcase the diversity and uniqueness of the LGBT community. 2017 promises to be even greater than previous years,” says Traxx Girls Inc. founder, Melissa Scott.
In addition to “Pure Heat” and the numerous parties, Atlanta’s Black Gay Pride will also feature the 3rd Annual Queer Black Film Festival (#QBFF). It will take place beginning September 1-3 at the Georgian Hotel. Highlights include a variety of LGBTQ films and filmmakers of the African diaspora as well as an actor’s workshop presented by Tyler Perry Casting Director—Rhavynn Drummer.
