Check out the new poster for Marvel’s highly anticipated film, “Black Panther.” The new artwork was released this weekend at Comic-Con, where the film’s stars and director gave fans a sneak peek and much more.
According to DEADLINE, the film’s leading man—Chadwick Boseman—recalled the moment he was first introduced to Black superhero:
“I grew up as young black kid in the Bay Area and grew up with comic books and it didn’t matter what color the superheros were; I read X-Men, I read Spider-Man,” he said. “One day I walked into the comic-book shop and was looking for comic-book character like me, and the first one I saw was Black Panther.”
The film’s director, Ryan Cooglar also talked about the moment he became familiar with the iconic character:
“I thought that the best thing about the comic book, he got his power from the people around him and his history.”
