Imagine not being able to leave the confines of your home because the outdoor elements could potentially kill you. Well, that’s what Amandla Stenberg is going through in the new romantic drama, “Everything, Everything.”
The “Hunger Games” actress plays as Maddy, a smart, curious and imaginative 18-year-old who due to an illness cannot leave the protection of the hermetically sealed environment within her house. Olly, played by Nick Robinson, is the boy next door who won’t let that stop him from showing his love for her.
Maddy is desperate to experience the much more stimulating outside world, and the promise of her first romance. Gazing through windows and talking only through texts, she and Olly form a deep bond that leads them to risk everything to be together…even if it means losing everything.
“Everything, Everything” also stars Ana de la Reguera and The Quad’s Anika Noni Rose and is based on the book of the same name by Nicola Yoon. Check out the trailer below which features the song “Runnin’ (Lose It All)” by Naughty Boy and featuring Beyoncé.
“Everything, Everything” opens in theaters nationwide on Friday, May 19th.
