So you haven’t had a chance to see “Hidden Figures?” Well, here is your opportunity! AMC Movie Theaters are celebrating Black History Month with free screenings of the film this Saturday, February 18 at select locations. According to THR, 21st Century Fox will screen the Oscar nominated-film in 14 AMC Theaters around the U.S. including Atlanta, Miami, Washington D.C., and New Orleans.
“Hidden Figures” stars Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer and Janelle Monáe as mathematicians Dorothy Vaughn, Mary Jackson and Katherine Johnson, who served as the brains behind America’s race against Russia to put a man in space and quickly rose the ranks of NASA. The SAG Award-winning film also features Kevin Costner, Kirsten Dunst, Mahershala Ali and Aldis Hodge.
In addition to the free screenings, schools and community groups can also go online and request a free screening in their community. The deadline is February 28 and the winners will be announced in March. Click here to register!
