March is going to be lit as WGN has released a second teaser trailer for Season 2 of it’s highly anticipated series, “UNDERGROUND.” The show makes an explosive return on Wednesday, March 8 at 10 p.m. EST.
The new season of “UNDERGROUND” appears to be just as action packed and suspenseful as the first and features newcomer Aisha Hinds as the heroic Harriet Tubman. It also features returning stars Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Rosalee and Aldis Hodge as Noah alongside Christopher Meloni as August Pullman; Alano Miller as Cato; Jessica de Gouw as Elizabeth Hawkes; Marc Blucas as John Hawkes and Amirah Vann as Ernestine. The show’s executive producer—John Legend—will also be making a cameo appearance as the legendary Fredrick Douglas.
“UNDERGROUND” delivered 3 million total viewers weekly, and made history as WGN America’s most-watched original program ever in its freshman season. The series was honored with screenings across the country including the White House and ranked as the #1 most discussed cable drama on social media each week it aired.
