It was all about #BlackGirlMagic last night as IMPACT Magazine honored 50 of Atlanta’s biggest and brightest at their inaugural annual Women of Impact Dinner. The private event took place at Buckhead’s Level V event space and paid homage to social media powerhouse Karen Civil, as well as other women who have excelled in their respected industries. The event was also hosted in honor of the publication’s 10th year anniversary.
IMPACT Magazine’s mission and purpose is to empower, encourage, and to educate readers through the power of images and words. The publication tackles the issues of life, by giving examples of ordinary people, living extraordinary lives. IMPACT educates the readers on health, wealth, and all things pertaining to who they are; challenging them to evolve into whom they are destined to become.
Other honorees included R&B singers Angie Stone, Avery*Sunshine, Keke Wyatt, Towanda Braxton as well as reality stars Jewel Tankard (Bravo’s Thicker Than Water), Marlo Hampton (Real Housewives of Atlanta), Quad Webb-Lunceford & Lisa Nicole Cloud (Bravo’s Married to Medicine), Deb Antney & Rashida Frost (Love and Hip Hop Atlanta). Real Housewives of Atlanta show creator Princess Banton-Lofters, BMI executive Catherine Brewton, HGTV personality Egypt Sherrod and my good friend and blogger extraordinaire Xaveria Bryant of IceCreamConversations were also among the honorees.
