Gospel Divas Dorothy Norwood, Dottie Peoples & more honored at ‘Atlanta Gospel Special’

Some of the most recognizable names in Gospel music were honored recently at the “Atlanta Gospel Special.” The evening featured one of Georgia’s signature African-American Gospel tributes and celebrations that acknowledged the accomplishments and contributions of local and national trendsetting artists. This year’s honorees included Dorothy Norwood, Dottie Peoples, Kevin Lemmons and Dr. Cindy Trimm.

A number of Gospel music superstars performed throughout the evening including Regina BelleApril Skinner, Brandon Holt, Candice Glover, Casey J, Damita Haddon Chandler, Duranice PaceEli Ensor and more.

The “Atlanta Gospel Special” was presented by Go Getter Inc. and HC Productions and was hosted by rising music sensation and minister, Rayshawn Carson. He was also the visionary behind the televised event.

The evening also featured moving tributes to the victims of the Orlando shooting victims, recent police shooting victims and the Black Lives Matters movement.
