ATL’s own Jermaine Dupri hosted an exclusive watch party Friday night for the Season 2 premiere of his hit reality series, “The Rap Game.” The music mogul is once again looking for the next teen sensation who can successfully endure his 10 week rapper boot camp. The winning artist will receive a recording contract with So So Def. The seven aspiring young rappers include Jayla Marie, JI Prince, NIA Kay, Mani, Mini Barbie, Tally and Lil’ Key.
This new season will also feature appearances from some of Dupri’s celebrity friends and the biggest names in music including the show’s executive producer Queen Latifah and Mariah Carey. Last night’s episode featured Timbaland, Snoop Dogg, Brian Michael Cox and Da Brat.
The screening took place at The Suite Food Lounge and was attended by a number of celebrities including Rap Game Season 1 winner Miss Mulatto, music executive Irv Gotti, “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” stars Erica Dixon, Momma Dee and Shay Johnson, “Rickey Smiley For Real” stars Ms. Juicy and Gary With Tha Tea, YouTube sensation Funky Dineva, R&B singer Algebra Blessett, HGTV’s Egypt Sherrod, rapper Oola Da Boss, “All Eyez on Me” actress Khadija Copeland and “Greenleaf” actress Lovie.
Also spotted on the red carpet were R&B quartet Final Draft, R&B trio NLA, Blaque singer Brandi Williams, “BarberShop: The Next Cut” star Diallo Thompson and many more. The party was hosted by Lifetime and Atlanta’s Big Station V-103!
