The BronzeLens Film Festival is back for another exciting season and just announced honorees for this year’s coveted Women Superstars Luncheon. It all goes down on Friday, August 26 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis with awards being given out to “Color Purple” and “Being Mary Jane” star Margaret Avery, award winning filmmaker Julie Dash, President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) Cheryl Boone Isaacs, producer Nina Yang Bongiovi and noted script supervisor Dawn Gilliam.
The Women Superstars Luncheon was created in 2010 to recognize some the nation’s most successful women of color in film and television. Over the last seven years it has become a must-attend signature event for industry insiders, corporations and the local community.
“The BronzeLens Women SuperStars Luncheon has become a favorite festival for inspiring and informing women from all walks of life. It serves as a platform for interactive networking and engagement”, said Kathleen Bertrand, Executive Producer of the BronzeLens Film Festival.
