Filming is currently underway at Clark Atlanta University for Broad Green Pictures upcoming dance comedy “Step Sisters.” The film stars House of Lies’ Megalyn Echikunwoke, Power’s Naturi Naughton, Dear White People’s Nia Jervier and Marque Richardson, How To Get Away with Murder’s Matt McGorry and Criminal Minds’ Sheryl Lee Ralph.

According to the film’s IMDB page, the story centers on an ambitious Black sorority girl (played by Echikunwoke) who, in order to get admitted to the law school of her dreams, agrees to cross cultural lines and teach the exclusive art of Black Greek stepping to a band of party-obsessed white sorority girls whose charter is about to be revoked. The film was formerly titled “Ain’t No Half Steppin.”

Rounding out the cast is Eden Sher, Lyndon Smith, Gage Golightly and Alessandra Torresani.  “Step Sisters” is being directed by Charles Stone and produced by Matt Alvarez, Lena Waithe and Benjamin Cory Jones.

The film is expected to be released in 2017.
