Celebrity authors, literary enthusiasts and book-lovers converged over the weekend in Atlanta, GA for the 8th Annual Literary Awards Show produced by Tamika Newhouse (AAMBC, Founder) and hosted by RHOA star Cynthia Bailey.

unnamed-78The star-studded awards show was held at GA Tech’s Ferst Center of Arts. The AAMBC Literary Awards serves as the only nationally recognized event that identifies and honors writers, artists, editors and publishers that define excellence in literature. VIP guests, nominees and honorees participated in an exclusive VIP reception and intimate meet and greet with celebrity authors prior to the awards show. Guests were treated to a live entertainment, spoken word and musical performances throughout the evening.

Special guests included R&B singer-songwriter Nicci Gilbert and NAACP nominated author Egypt Sherrod. Special honorees included Mary Monroe, Mary B. Morrison, Carol Mackey and Omar Tyree.
