Some of the biggest names in hip-hop performed Friday evening for the first night of PEPSI’s Funk Fest ATL. Naughty By Nature, T-Pain, Goodie Mobb and Snoop Dogg all wrecked the stage last night in front of thousand of fans at Atlanta’s Central Park.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to see the shows for Naughty By Nature or T-Pain because I was on the other side of town hosting an event for the ATL Soul Music Festival.

I did, however, get a chance to catch the tail end of Goodie Mobb’s performance which included their hits “Soul Food,” “They Don’t Dance,” “Cell Therapy,” Trick Daddy‘s “In the Wind” and more. CeeLo Green and Big Gipp also did a few solo numbers that included Dungeon Family member Sleepy Brown.

Following their performance was the evening’s headliner Grammy nominated-rapper, actor and reality star Snoop Dogg.  Unfortunately, I was really, really tired and only stayed to watch a few minutes of his show which featured such classic hits as “Gin and Juice” and “Ain’t Nothing but a G-Thang.”

I also ran into the evening’s opening act Lyric Rachae along with actress Jasmine Guy, Atlanta City Councilman Kwanza Hall and “From the Bottom Up” star Stacii Jae Johnson.
