Congrats to my buddies Charity Jordan and Rod “Reemo” Thomas. The two actors are starring in ASPiRE TV’s new series “Mommy Uncensored” on Sunday, May 8 at 8 p.m.
The show is based on the award-winning web series of the same name and gives a unique perspective on family and motherhood from a relatable and unique stay-at-home mom. “Mommy Uncensored” also stars Atlanta jazz and blues vocalist Theresa Hightower (pictured below) and Jordan’s real-life children.
Birthed from real life mommy experiences, “Mommy Uncensored” chronicles Karen Wright’s (Jordan) unpredictable and unorthodox journey as a former career woman to stay-at-home mom. The series intimately captures Karen’s everyday situations as she tries to balance being a mother to two charismatic little girls, all while trying to keep the spice in her marriage. Her fun, loving, and oftentimes romantic husband Neil (Thomas), who is equally devoted to their children, supports his wife’s new role and contributes, as best he can, to all of the parenting responsibilities. Karen’s mother Momma Dukes (Hightower), who is very traditional and a bit of a worry wart, adds humor to the family dynamics. Hilarity ensues as Karen shares her inner feelings and insecurities confessional-style in the one place she can find refuge, or so she thinks, in her bathroom. Everything from sex, to mommy time, to super mom undertakings are explored in the special television presentation.
In addition to creating and starring in the show, Jordan is also the executive producer of “Mommy Uncensored.” She joins husband Justin Jordan, who is the co-creator and editor and the show’s director, actress and producer Terri J. Vaughn.
