Grammy nominated-vocalist and my new music crush Andra Day is teaming up with McDonald’s, Coca-Cola and ESSENCE for the “I’ll Rise” Campaign which is based on her signature tune “Rise Up.”

According to Tri-City Herald, Day will appear exclusively on more than 40 million Coca-Cola cups at select McDonald’s around the country. Fans who purchase Coca-Cola products at these restaurants will also qualify to win tickets to see her perform at this year’s ESSENCE Festival, compliments of the “I’ll Rise 365 Sweepstakes Program.”

“Hey fam! So happy to announce that I’ve partnered with Coca-Cola and McDonald’s to send some of you beautiful people to Essence Festival. Visit a McDonald’s for your chance to win and see me and other wonderful artists perform!”

In addition to the new partnership, Day is also appearing on the cover of ESSENCE’s May Issue. She is also featured in the new short documentary “I Rise” that includes other African-American women achievers like ‘image activist” and cultural critic Michaela Angela Davis and Harlem’s Fashion Row creator Brandice Daniel.
