“The Trumpet Awards” return to Atlanta’s Cobb Energy Centre on Saturday, January 23 and will be hosted by “Uncle Buck” stars Nia Long and Mike Epps.  This year’s honorees include acclaimed television and film producer Will Packer and legendary Las Vegas comedian George Wallace. Other honorees include Alicia Boler-Davis, Alexis M. Herman, Dr. Curtis L. Ivery, Princess Basmah Bint Saud and more.

“The Trumpet Awards” were created by Xernona Clayton to herald the accomplishments of Black Americans who have succeeded against immense odds. Special recognition is given to the few, who symbolize the many, who have overcome the ills of racism and poverty and achieved special greatness.

Following this year’s ceremony is “Soulful Endings” a post-show celebration featuring soul food and soulful entertainment. It is also a time for celebrities, sponsors and VIP guests to mix and mingle and will take place at the Hyatt – Downtown Atlanta.

The “Trumpet Awards” will air this year on Bounce TV.
