April Love sharing her survivor’s story

In December of 2009, April Love received a diagnosis that changed her life drastically. She was informed on Christmas Eve of that year that she had Stage 3 breast cancer. Today, she is blessed to proudly say that she is a 6-year cancer survivor and uses her testimony and platform to bring awareness to breast cancer.

According to the research conducted by Susan G. Komen, breast cancer claims a life every 74 seconds. This aggressive disease not only affects the lives of those diagnosed with it, but it takes a toll on their families as well.  For this reason, The Pink Awards dedicated a portion of the evening proceeds to breast cancer survivors in need.
