Martell Celebrates Organized Noize 20 Years of Excellence [PHOTOS]

Martell recently honored Atlanta’s own Organized Noize for their contributions to the music industry. The event took place at Restaurant Eugene and was attended by a number of celebrities and heavy hitting tastemakers.

Organized Noize is known to have been the production team that curated Atlanta’s signature sound that birthed a culture that still thrives today. The group is credited for having discovered, nurtured and creating some of the biggest hits in the music industry for acts that includes Goodie Mob, Outkast, TLC, and En Vogue.

During the event, Organized Noize took the opportunity to give their guests a first look at a clip of the documentary, “The Art of Organized Noize,” directed by Quincy Jones III, Produced by: Orlando McGhee, Ramone Campbell, and Yaneley Arty. Executive Produced by Organized Noize and Queen Latifah and Shakim Compere of Flavor Unit Films. They also honored Goodie Mob for the group’s 20th anniversary of the album, Soul Food.

Special guests included honorees—Rico Wade, Ray Murray, and Sleepy Brown, the group’s manager, Orlando McGhee, Goodie Mob’s Cee-Lo Green, Big Gipp, and T-Mo, Dungeon Family artist Backbone, Councilman Kwanza Hall, Jermaine Dupri, Big Tigger, Bryan Michael-Cox, Bobby V, Polow Da Don, fine artist Fahamu Pecou, Chaka Zulu, I Am Other President Kawan Prather.
