A BIG CONGRATULATIONS goes out to R&B/Jazz artist Lalah Hathaway! The two-time GRAMMY® Award-winning songstress celebrates her fifth GRAMMY® nomination, with the nominations just released for the upcoming 2016 GRAMMY Awards® show.
Hathaway is nominated in the category of “Best Traditional R&B Performance” for the remake of her father’s classic hit “Little Ghetto Boy.” Hathaway recorded the tune for her latest album, Lalah Hathaway Live.
She is also up for an NAACP Image Award in the category of “Outstanding Female Artist.” She will go toe-to-toe with Janet Jackson, Jill Scott, Jazmine Sullivan and Lauryn Hill.
The beloved singer will also hit the streets of New York this week for an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Hathaway will be sitting in with The Roots on Wednesday, December 9 at 11:35 p.m. EST.
Marking her seventh album, Lalah Hathaway Live also includes the hit single “Angel” (originally recorded by Anita Baker), which rises into the Top 10 at Urban AC radio this week. Lalah Hathaway Live is available everywhere, including all major digital retailers.
