Some of music biggest stars gathered together Saturday night to pay tribute to Motown living legend Smokey Robinson.

According to Fox 8 Cleveland, Robinson was honored by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s Music Masters Series. The tribute was titled “The Life and Music of Smokey Robinson” and included performances by Motown alum and Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Martha Reeves of Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, Mary Wilson of The Supremes and Dennis Edwards of The Temptations. Motown founder Berry Gordy was also present to pay tribute to his long-time friend and colleague.

There were also tributes from contemporary artists like Michelle Williams of Destiny’s Child and R&B male vocalists Eric Roberson, Avant and Bilal. Additional tributes came from JoJo and acclaimed singer-songwriter and my girl Avery*Sunshine. Grammy winning-jazz pianist Robert Glasper served as the show’s musical director.

The concert was the culmination of a week-long celebration that included various panel discussions, lectures and even a master class featuring Robinson with The Boys & Girls Club of Cleveland. He was also given an honorary degree from Case Western Reserve University.
