Check out these classic black and white photos of The Wiz Live cast captured by actor turned photographer Lance Gross. The images feature Shanice Williams (Dorothy) along with Ne-Yo (Tin Man), David Alan Grier (Lion) and Elijah Kelley (Scarecrow). He also took shots of Amber Riley (Adapperle) and Stephanie Mills, who originated the role of Dorothy on Broadway but will be playing Aunt Em in the show on December 3.
In addition to the photos, NBC has released a new trailer featuring Queen Latifah as The Wiz, Uzo Aduba as Glinda the Good Witch of the South, Common as the Royal Gatekeeper and Amber Riley as Adapperle. There’s also snippet of the entire cast singing “Brand New Day,” written by the late Luther Vandross.
