Congratulations goes out to the cast of the Atlanta-based comedy series, Survivor’s Remorse. Starz announced on Wednesday that the popular Saturday evening program will indeed return for a third season following last month’s record breaking season two premiere on August 22.
“We are thrilled to renew ‘Survivor’s Remorse’ for a third season,” said Carmi Zlotnik, Managing Director of Starz. “Since it began, the critics instantly embraced the show, and now we’ve seen its fans grow season over season. This all-star creative team, led expertly by Mike O’Malley, boldly tackles the most topical of issues with heart and humor as the Calloway family deals with ‘pro-money and pro-problems’ off the basketball court. We are very happy and proud to have them return to STARZ for another season.”
Survivor’s Remorse also achieved another series-high during the second episode of season two with viewership growing 18% over the following week and establishing another benchmark.
The 30-minute show follows the life of basketball star Cam Calloway (Jessie T. Usher), who is thrust into the limelight after signing a huge contract with a pro basketball team in Atlanta. Its also features the remarkable talent of Ronreaco Lee, Mike Epps, Tichina Arnold, Teyonah Parris and Erica Ash.
Survivor’s Remorse airs on Saturday’s at 9:30 p.m. following Blunt Talk featuring Patrick Stewart.
