I had the pleasure of attending the Wrap Party for TV One’s breakout series, Born Again Virgin, Saturday night in Atlanta. The private affair was held at Asante Restaurant near Centennial Olympic Park and was attended by the show’s cast and crew and other invited guests.
Born Again Virgin focuses on Jenna (Danielle Nicolet), a 34 year-old up-and-coming blogger, who decides to become celibate when she finds her body count is starting to trump her age. Using her blog as encouragement for her newly adapted sex diet and also as a sounding board for her girlfriends’ often amusing “sexcapades,” Jenna is determined to make the blog a success and transform her friends in the process. But just as Jenna is settling into her new found virginity, in comes her new fine-as-wine neighbor Donovan (Tank). Eva Marcille and Meagan Holder play Jenna’s lively and unpredictable BFF’s Tara and Kelly.

According to Deadline, the Wednesday night show is a hit amongst women 18-34 and TV One has already renewed it for a second season with 12 new shows airing in early 2016. It is also produced by Atlanta’s own Swirl Films.

Celebrities in attendance included cast members Danielle Nicolet, Eva Marcille and Meagan Holder. Atlanta actors E. Roger Mitchell, Reece Odum, Kendrick Cross and Jasmine Burke were spotted along with R&B singer and former Voice contestant, VEDO. Born Again Virgin creator Ranada Shepard was present along with Swirl Film’s Keith Neal, Eric Tomosunas, David Eubanks and Russ Parr.
