Nicki Minaj is looking to add a lil “boom, badoom, boom, boom, badoom, boom, boom”  to ABC’s Family Channel. The award-winning rapper and budding actress has inked a deal with the network to executive produce a new scripted comedy series about her family’s immigration from Trinidad in the early 1990’s.

According to S&A, Minaj will also star in the series that will also focus on her rise to superstardom and will take place in her hometown of Queens, NYC.

“This is one of the more unique adventures I’ve ever embarked on,” said Minaj in a statement. “I couldn’t be more proud and excited to team up with an amazing group of people to give the world something really special.”

No word yet on the title of the show or who has been cast alongside Minaj. Look for her to star on the big screen in Barbershop 3 starring EVE, Regina Hall, Ice Cube, Common and Cedric the Entertainer. The film opens in theaters April 15, 2016.
