TV One is adding another crime series to its Monday night lineup. According to S&A, the network will debut a new one-hour series starting September 7 titled, “For My Man.” The show will take viewers inside various cases where women did just about any and everything in the name of love including robbery, prostitution and murder. Much like the popular series, “Fatal Attraction,” the show will chronicle how these women met their mates and the twisted things they did to keep them including interviews with family, friends and some of women directly involved. The show will also address the growing number of African-American women incarcerated due to crimes of passion.

“Crime and justice storytelling is overwhelmingly popular with a wide variety of viewers and of particular interest to the Black community, which is disproportionally impacted,” remarked D’Angela Proctor, TV One’s Senior Vice President Original Programming and Production. “Every episode of ‘For My Man’ illustrates a love story gone horribly wrong and with a devastating outcome. News headlines report the aftermath of these scenarios, but ‘For My Man’ pulls viewers deeper into the narrative as the fairytale sours. After watching these stories, viewers may strongly question how far they might go in the name of love.”

“For My Man” airs Monday, September 7 at 10 p.m. on TV One.
