“Dreamgirls always love you and they’ll be true…”
My friend and original “Dreamgirl” Sheryl Lee Ralph covers the September/October issue of SHEEN Magazine. The veteran actress of stage, television, and film, is the epitome of grace and elegance, proving once again that age ain’t nothing but a number!

I recently caught up with “Instant Mom” star over the weekend at the Steve Harvey Neighborhood Awards where she told me that she was in the process of taking her philanthropic efforts toward HIV/AIDS in South Africa to another level. While, I can’t give any details at this time, it’s going to be life changing for many of the women affected and infected with the virus. As you know, Ralph has been an advocate for HIV-AIDS awareness and prevention since the disease took so many of her friends and colleagues in the early 80s. Her D.I.V.A Foundation (Divinely Inspired Victoriously Aware) and DIVAS Simply Singing show, is the longest consecutive running musical HIV/AIDS benefit in the country and recently celebrated 25 years in June.
Ralph is also one of the producers for “Mighty Real: The Fabulous Sylvester Musical,” which is taking theaters across America by storm with its portrayal of the original “Queen” of Disco, Sylvester James. The collaboration between Ralph and the show’s star, Anthony Wayne, was recently featured on TV One’s award winning popular music series, “Unsung.”
Sheryl Lee Ralph and her “divalicious” fashion spread hits newsstands on Aug. 28.
