Robin Thicke, Tyrese, K. Michelle & more kick-off Neighborhood Awards Weekend [PHOTOS]

R&B superstars Robin Thicke, K. MichelleAvery*Sunshine and more helped Steve Harvey kick off the 2015 Neighborhood Awards weekend on Friday (August 7) morning. The award winning singers performed some of their biggest hit records during a special live broadcast of Harvey’s syndicated radio program, “The Steve Harvey Morning Show.”  The event took place at 6 a.m. from Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Center and was attended by thousands of fans, armed with selfie sticks and cameras, hoping to capture a photo of their favorite celebrity.

Harvey shared the spotlight of course with his morning show co-hosts Shirley Strawberry, Carla Ferrell and the hilariously funny Nephew Tommy and Junior. Grammy nominated singer, Jazmine Sullivan also performed while actors Sanaa Lathan and Michael Ealy stopped by to promote their new romantic thriller, “The Perfect Guy.”

R&B crooner and “Fast and Furious” star Tyrese Gibson made a special surprise appearance. He is currently promoting his no.1 album, Black Rose and is one of the award show’s headlining acts along with Usher and Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds.

A number of the award show’s sponsors stopped by during the broadcast including Dale Avery from State Farm Insurance and Shawn Thompson from Ford, who also gave away a Ford Edge. Other highlights during the live broadcast included an 83-year-old woman who was awarded over $1000 because she was the oldest person in attendance.
