If you’ve never attended a Bronner Bros. International Beauty Show in Atlanta, then you’re missing out! The three-day extravaganza (as said in my Bevy Smith voice) is one of the cornerstones of the Black hair community and continues to feature some of the industry’s biggest and brightest cosmetology, health, and beauty experts.
I had the pleasure of covering the Saturday afternoon portion of the show which featured the “Name Your Face Makeup” “Nail Art” and “Champion of Weaves” competitions. RHOA star Kenya Moore served as this year’s co-host along with celebrity guest judges: Dwight Eubanks (Real Housewives of Atlanta), Naja Rickette (WEtv’s L.A. Hair) and Shekinah Jo (T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle).
I also ran into WEtv stars of “Cuttin It In the ATL,” Maja Sly and Mushiya Tshikuka, “Love and Hip-Hop Atlanta” starlet Tammy Rivera and my very good friend Saniyyah Griffin, who was attending her show as a stylist as well as conducting her first live natural hair demonstration for Shea Moisture Professionals.
