The 2015 Bronner Bros. International Beauty Show is currently underway at Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Center this weekend and yours truly got a behind-the-scenes look at the hottest hair and beauty event of the summer.

I had the pleasure of meeting with the show’s official host, James Bronner and other selected Atlanta press last night for a preview of this year’s three days of festivities. Much like NYC’s Fashion Week, the Bronner Bros. International Beauty Show, represents the biggest and brightest in the world of hair and beauty. It is also the largest event of kind that is dedicated solely to African-American hair, health, beauty, and entrepreneurship.

According to Bronner, this year’s show will feature first-time exhibits from Paul Mitchell and Design Essentials and will have representatives from over 20 nations including Japan. The show is also taking place in the “C” exhibit hall of GWCC versus “A” and “B” halls. Bronner also boasted about the family’s aggressive training program of over 30 “next generation” Bronners, who will one day run the global hair enterprise.

Other interesting features include a prayer pavilion and larger-than-life exhibits from such name brands as HairFinity, FHI, Nu Expressions, Bigen (pronounded Bee-Gin) and Shea Moisture. There is also a new “Fashion & Dining” Hall, a VIP Lounge that overlooks the entire showroom floor and a variety of night time activities including the largest “Cut” party hosted by Atlanta media personality and comedian Wanda Smith and celebrity hairstylist, Derek J. The show will also feature presentations by “L.A. Hair” star Kim Kimble and more.

Check out exclusive photos from yesterday’s BTS tour and stay tuned for more posts about the show throughout the rest of the weekend:
