Acclaimed filmmaker Will “Power” Packer hosted the First Take with Ford event on Friday evening in Atlanta, GA. The blue carpet affair was presented exclusively by Ford and was held at the historic Freight Depot in Underground Atlanta.

The movie-premiere themed party featured complimentary cocktails from Pernod Ricard USA, a variety of treats and test drives of Ford’s latest vehicles including the Ford Fusion, Ford Mustang, and the Ford Explorer. There was also a live DJ, photo booth and aerial silk dancers performing above the crowd.

Ford recognizes Atlanta’s position as the new “Hollywood of the South” and honored a few of the city’s industry rock stars including reality star and singer, Demetria McKinney; photographer extraordinaire, Derek Blanks; celebrity makeup artist, Toni Acey; UPtv’s marketing manager, Nadia Simone; celebrity hairstylist, Riyka Taylor; and film producer & distributor, Autumn Bailey to name a few.

“This is an opportunity for Ford to connect with the Atlanta community. We have Ford Ambassadors that are representatives of the city’s movie industry. Atlanta is becoming a very prominent player in television and film production and we thought this was a great way for people to experience our products and have fun. Ford has a very big presence in the movie industry now and we thought this was a great time to celebrate that milestone, says Ford Southeastern Regional Sales Manager, Kevin Giacomini.

A number of last year’s ambassadors came out to celebrate including Sheri Riley, Shanti Das, Rashana Ali and Keinon Johnson. Also spotted were reality stars Gocha Hawkins, Tameka Raymond, Andrea Kelly, Christina Johnson and actors Jensen Atwood and Keshia Knight-Pulliam, who served as last year’s host.
