Soul Train Music Award winner and R&B Soul-Jazz vocalist, Maysa Leak had us all “spellbound and speechless” Wednesday night during the Atlanta premiere party for her new CD, Back2Love.  The event took place at the Museum Bar as part of a new “Wednesday Night Live Series” and featured a live performance by Maysa and Q&A session with Jazz 91.9 WCLK’s Jamal Ahmad.

Leak, who is best known as the lead vocalist for the UK super group, Incognito, shared some background information on how she got started in the music business and a very personal story behind one of her biggest hits, “Deep Waters.” She also talked about celebrating 25 years in the music industry in 2016 and her new perfume, Back2Love, which is named after the album.

“I decided to make a perfume because a lot of the artists in my genre are selling wine and I don’t drink alcohol. So I thought a perfume would be fun. The fragrance also helps to diversify my brand and allow me to not just focus solely on my  music but spread my wings a little,” said Leak during the Q&A session.
