Grammy nominated-singer and natural hair diva, Ledisi teamed up with Design Essentials® Natural on Friday, July 5 for the unveiling of her new Ledisi Look Book during the ESSENCE Music Festival. The book features step-by-step tutorials on how to achieve her signature looks with the recommended Design Essentials® Natural products as well as beautiful photos by noted photographer Allen Cooley.
The invite only event took place at the Beauty Gifting Lounge and was attended by a number of Ledisi’s celebrity friends and natural hair enthusiast including Chef Roblé, Kindred The Family Soul, blackish actress Yara Shahidi, Cutting It In The ATL star Mushiya Tshikuka, Married to Medicine star Lisa Nicole Cloud, gospel star Anita Wilson, and America’s Next Top Model Contestant Keenyah Hill. There were also a number of natural hair bloggers in attendance including Taren Guy, Love Brown Sugar, Mo Knows Hair and Strawberricurls.

Design Essentials® Natural also selected one lucky winner to receive the total Ledisi Prize Package. Tanyeka G. and a guest were flown to New Orleans to receive a full glam makeover featuring an installation of Runway Curls natural hair extensions installed by Sheena Moore of Design Essentials® Natural and styled with the Coconut Monoi Collection and full makeup services by celebrity makeup artist Mia MiMi Johnson of The Glamatory in Atlanta.
