In August of 2013, we reported that Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino was teaming up with FX for a new pilot series tentatively titled, Atlanta. Well it appears that there has been some movement on the project including casting.

According to Indie Wire, the show has picked up Brian Tyree Henry, Lakeith Lee Stanfield and Zazie Beetz. They will join Glover, who also created and wrote the pilot. The show is also still being called Atlanta and is based on two cousins trying to break into the city’s rap/hip-hop music game.

Atlanta’s pilot will be directed by Hiro Murai and shooting begins later on this month. You can also catch Glover in Magic Mike XXL, which is currently in theaters nationwide.

Stay tuned…
