S&A is reporting that one of my faves, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater is coming to the big screen this fall as part of Lincoln Center at the Movies: Great American Dance.
On Thursday, October 22 at 7 p.m., fans of the acclaimed dance company will get a behind-the-scenes look at this amazing group of artists. The film was recorded during Ailey’s recent Lincoln Center season and features excerpts from Wayne McGregor’s “Chroma,” “Grace” by Ronald K. Brown “Takademe” by Ailey’s artist director, Robert Battle and Ailey’s signature classic, “Revelations.” The project is directed by Matthew Diamond and presented by Fathom Events and Lincoln Center.
