Leave it to my girl I’na Saulsbery of The Starfire Group to host another successful launch for one of her many star clients. The event planner extraordinaire invited me out this week for the premiere of the newest Whiskey brand, J.R. Revelry. The invitation only event took place at Trees Atlanta (one of the city’s newest event spaces) and featured a DJ, light hors-d’oeuvres, J.R. Revelry games and of course complimentary drinks all night. I also spotted a few Atlanta notables in the crowd including “Love and Hip-Hop Atlanta” star Ariane Davis.

J.R. Revelry is the newest All-American craft Bourbon that boasts a unique, smooth taste. According to the brand’s Founder and CEO, Jesus Ricardo Tapia, he is hoping that his Whiskey will become the brand of choice for new Bourbon drinkers.

“What I wanted to do was create something that was traditional in the vanilla, caramel, the spice and the wood. At the same time, have it be a lot less pronounced with a very rich taste. There’s a ton of new people that are finally switching from Vodka to Whiskey and I want to be that introductory brand as well as a favorite of those who are already connoisseurs of Bourbon.”

Jesus, who is originally from Peru, proudly states that his product is also 100% Made in the U.S.A Certified.

“Bourbon, by law, has to be made in the U.S. but all of the packaging can come from anywhere in the world. A lot of the wood stain tops are made in Italy, France, Mexico. Mine are made in Michigan. A lot of the other elements like the glass bottles are made outside of the country. What I’ve chosen to do is get all of my packaging from the U.S.,” says Tapia.

J. R. Revelry’s website features a variety of Whiskey-inspired recipes including “J. R. Revelry Bourbon Kiss,” “All American Bourbon Pecan Pie,” “Who Shot J.R.?” and “Revelry Derby” to name a few. Click HERE to see them all.
