Saturday March 28, the fourth annual Vision Beauty Distributors Natural Hair and Health Expo (NHHE) drew thousands of attendees to the Birmingham Jefferson Conference Center. This annual attraction convenes thousands of attendees from across the south for a day of celebrity sightings, beauty demos, shopping and education. Some of the highlights include:
Sheen Magazine kicked off the day with an exclusive brunch for purchasers of the deluxe VIP package. Hosted by Sheen Magazine’s Editor In Chief Sammy Haynes, the brunch gave attendees the opportunity to receive goodie bags filled with Sheen swag, meet each other and learn more about Sheen as a resource for the hottest in beauty, style and events for today’s woman. As an added treat, supermodel Bobby Roache was on hand to pose for pictures with the VIP guests.
Attendees shopped till they dropped at the almost 100 vendor booths featuring everything from hair products to cosmetics to clothing, jewelry and accessories. Beauty brands specializing in products for highly textured hair had reps on hands to introduce attendees to their products and tools. The Expo also included health screening services, making for a day of beauty inside and out.
Sister 2 Sister Magazine brought its philosophy of truth and empowerment to the Expo with programming offering resources for attendees. First, “The Millionaires Club: Discover the Secrets to Becoming a Self-Made Millionaire!” convened self-made millionaires Tamera Paul, co-founder of RepNetwork and Shawn Bullard, real estate developer and star of WEtv’s “Match Made In Heaven” in a candid discussion with Sister 2 Sister publisher Jamie Foster Brown to share their insights on economic empowerment.
Also hosted by Jamie, the Sister 2 Sister Women’s Empowerment Panel presented by KISS FM, JAMZ and WAGG brought together a panel of accomplished multi-talented women sharing their personal journeys and inspiration for attendees. Recording artist and reality TV star Traci Braxton, actress Malinda Williams, supermodel and reality TV star Cynthia Bailey, and natural hair visionary and reality TV star Mushiya Tshikuka dished juicy details on love, relationships and making it in the entertainment industry while sharing words of encouragement to attendees.
