Kandi Burruss delivered the ultimate Businesswoman Masterclass this past weekend on Saturday, April 11th at the illustrious Woodruff Arts Center in Atlanta. Kandi opened the event stating, “When women want bigger and better things, they are supposed to link up and make each other better. It’s all about solidarity. I naturally like to help people get to the next level.”
The Keynote Address was delivered by Dr. Kim Ventus-Darks whose colorful and lively commentary had the crowd diving deep into themselves to deal with the the core first. She quickly had the crowd reciting jazzy affirmations like “I am delicious, delightful and desirable. I am gifted, generous and still growing. I am victorious, vivacious, and vaboom. It’s all about me and not about you, it’s about VABOOM!”
Next up was the Women On The Rise panelist Curl Box’s Myleik Teele, Entertainment Executive and Author Shanti Das, Realtor to the Stars, Brandi Hunter, and Camicakes’ Andra Hall who all offered business jewels for the audience.
Three lucky women were awarded $1,500.00 towards their business venture when they participated in Empower Masterclass’ very own shark tank called “Invest In Me.” a total of six women were chosen to come up to deliver an impromptu pitch to Kandi on why their business was one she should invest in. The awards went to Kimberly Hodge’s The Gorg, A silk bonnet company, something that is near and dear to Kandi’s heart, Willnella Patray, who’s non-profit, Helping Eyes Against the Loss of Sight Heals works with people with eye diseases and blindness, and Mesita Patridge who’s shown her know how with Ivory Bridal.
And that’s not all, during the Q&A session, a young lady, Christina Johnson, was so passionate about her new business venture that unexpectedly Kandi decided to award the young lady the opportunity of personal mentorship. Mona Scott-Young also offered up her personal expertise to Johnson on a one on one basis.

The class was presented with filled-to-the-rim gift bags and treated to an array of appetizers and drinks along with having the opportunity for one on one photos with Kandi.
