Now in its second year, Women 2 Women Conference 2015 (W2W 2015) will take place March 14, 2015 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis.  W2W 2015 will be a unique multi-generational interactive conference designed to inspire, empower and enlighten attendees.  Veteran journalist Susan L. Taylor, author Playwright Pearl Cleage (pictured below), actress Lynn Whitfield and business woman Edie Fraser are among other distinguished guests participants that will share their personal life lessons and real world experiences.   Proceeds from the conference benefits teens at the Dr. Maya Angelou Teen Center located at the Andrew & Walter Young Family YMCA in Atlanta, GA.

“It is because of my relationship with Dr. Maya Angelou, my own children and young women I mentor, that the idea of the conference was born. Through our 35 years of friendship, Maya served as my mentor and sister friend,” said Sonjia Young, Women 2 Women producer and Founder, Young Eventions Group, Inc. (YEG)   “When I shared with Maya my desire to plan a conference that would bring women together across generations to share life lessons and how awesome it would be if she could participate, she enthusiastically agreed.  I told her she didn’t have to do it this first year but she insisted, saying “No, little sister, I might not be here next year.  We must do this now, it is needed for women everywhere!”  “And we did. Words cannot express how awe-inspiring she was. Over 630 women left the conference transformed and empowered.”

Women 2 Women Conference 2015 opens with the W2W 2015 keynote address by bestselling author and award winning playwright Pearl Cleage.  Expert panels include: A Woman’s Point of View: Examining Our Roles in Media & Entertainment, The Power of Corporate and Foundation Philanthropy to Transform Lives and The Mind-Body Connection: A Holistic Approach to Health.  The Phenomenal Woman Award Luncheon will be highlighted by the theme “Let It Go!” and the conference will culminate with its signature Women 2 Women Wisdom Circles.
