Congrats to acclaimed television and film actor Terrence Howard. In addition to recently announcing that his wife is expecting, he is also appearing on the January/February cover of UPSCALE Magazine.  Inside, the actor chats with noted journalist Ronda Racha Penrice about his highly anticipated FOX series “Empire,” which airs this Wednesday, January 7.

As previously reported, Howard plays Lucious Lyons, a veteran hip-hop mogul whose company is about to go public and he must find a rightful heir to continue his musical legacy. His plans come to screeching halt when his ex-wife, Cookie Lyons (Taraji P. Henson), enters the picture after spending 17 years in prison.

For Howard, playing the “Billy Badass” types is what has kept him employed in Hollywood and what his fans have grown to expect of him.  “I’m the professional bad guy. They hire me when they need a believable bad guy. I don’t know why. I used to think I was the nicest person in the world,” said Howard to Penrice.
