Bobby Kristina found ‘unresponsive’ but is now hospitalized and ‘alive’ [PHOTOS]

Written by | Ray Cornelius

On Saturday morning, Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s daughter, Bobby Kristina (Brown), was found unresponsive and face down in a bath tub of her Roswell, GA home around 10:23 am. The actress and budding singer was discovered by her husband, Nick Gordon, and an unidentified friend.

According to Roswell PIO Officer, Lisa Holland, Gordon found his wife in the tub and started performing CPR on her, while the unidentified friend called 911. Officers arrived within minutes and took over the life saving measures until ambulances arrived and transported her to North Fulton Hospital.

Holland confirmed that Brown is still alive but couldn’t say if she is breathing on her own or with assistance. Detectives are also conducting an investigation at the home to see if this was an accident or self-initiated or from an overdose.  Holland also confirmed that no prescription medication has been found on the scene at this time. It is also not known how long Brown was in the bathtub before she was discovered. This is the second time this month that Roswell police have been called out the couple’s residence. On January 23, police received a phone call that there was a fight at the home. However, when officers arrived around 8 p.m. no one was there nor was there any commotion as had been reported.

The irony in today’s situation is that Brown’s mother was discovered in the same manner on February 11, 2012. As previously reported, Houston was getting ready to attend a Pre-Grammy party when her stylists and bodyguards found her face underwater in the tub of her Beverly Hilton Hotel room.  Houston’s bodyguards attempted to perform CPR before calling hotel security. Paramedics arrived at the hotel at 3:30 p.m. and found the singer unresponsive. Sadly, Houston was pronounced dead at 4 p.m.PST.

RC will keep you posted as this story continues to develop.

Vivica A. Fox, Richard Roundtree, Redd Foxx to be featured on ‘UNSUNG: Hollywood’

Posted by | Ray Cornelius

TV One’s popular series “UNSUNG: Hollywood” is back for a second season. The hugely popular docu-series returns next month for another round of behind-the-scenes stories on some of tinsel town’s biggest stars, shows and movies. Beginning February 11, TV One will air six new episodes with spotlights on the cast of “A Different World,” acclaimed actors Vivica A. Fox and Richard Roundtree, comics Red Foxx and Sheryl Underwood and John Singleton’s cult classic, “Baby Boy.”  Check out the schedule below:

Wednesday, February 11, 8PM/ET – Cast of “A Different World”

“A Different World” changed the image of African Americans on television by painting a picture of youth educated at a historically black university. As hard-hitting topics were more frequently covered, internal battles with the network ensued, resulting in the show’s unceremonious cancellation. Cast and crew come together to discuss the creation of the show, share behind-the-scenes stories of paramount episodes, and  reflect on the legacy of a show that still resonates today.

Wednesday, February 18, 8PM/ET – Vivica A. Fox

With films grossing over one billion dollars, Vivica A. Fox is a multi-hyphenate, mega-star who has shared the screen with several of Hollywood’s A-list actors throughout her career. Fox first turned heads in daytime soaps before going on to co-star in mega-hit films such as “Independence Day,” “Soul Food” and “Kill Bill.” Over the years, Fox was in constant demand for a wide range of roles and ultimately went on to produce several films and theatrical productions and is a current member of “The Celebrity Apprentice” cast.

Wednesday, February 25, 8PM/ET – Redd Foxx

Escaping to Harlem in the late 1930’s, Redd Foxx worked the ‘chitlin’ circuit as a singer. Over the next twenty years he recorded numerous off-color albums as a comedian, which became staples in black households. In the early-70s Foxx became the star of “Sanford and Son” which brought Foxx wealth and fame. After a decade-long free-fall, he made a comeback as the star of the popular sitcom “The Royal Family,” and sadly, died of a heart attack during rehearsal in 1991.

Wednesday, March 4, 8PM/ET – Sheryl Underwood

Sheryl Underwood has entertained as a fast-talking, sexually hardcore yet God-fearing comedian. Underwood endured domestic violence, sexual abuse and the suicide of her husband – which triggered a depression that threatened to end her career.  Along the way, her act broadened and matured, and in 2011, Sheryl joined the hit show “The Talk” gaining the respect and mainstream adoration she long desired.

Wednesday, March 11, 8PM/ET – Richard Roundtree

Richard Roundtree’s role as John Shaft was the beginning of a worldwide journey of recognition; however, he would spend much of his career trying to escape being typecast as the iconic detective. He fought hard to prove he was more than a one-trick phenom with critically acclaimed performances on the big and small screen alike. Roundtree also experienced personal struggles including a devastating divorce and a battle with breast cancer. Ultimately, Roundtree’s legacy and influence grew and continue to be celebrated.

Wednesday, March 18, 8 PM/ET – Baby Boy

“Baby Boy” made stars of leads, Tyrese Gibson and Taraji P. Henson, in a story that follows a young man living in South Central facing the dangerous rite of passage into manhood that is falsely defined by getting a rep or a record. This episode takes a look back at the film that launched the careers of most of its cast, including Ving Rhames, and lives on with cult classic status to this day.

Posted by | Ray Cornelius

On tonight’s episode of “Kandi Koated Nights,” RHOA’s Kandy Burruss sits down with celebrity stylist turned reality star, Tameka Raymond, to address the “internet” beef they had over Usher. Trust me folks, this is an episode you don’t want to miss. Check out some of the interview below as Kandi tries to explain what actually happened.

Kandi:  I was on the show with Andy, Watch What Happens Live one year and he said… They wanted me to say that I had a celebrity crush. So I was like, “I don’t have a celebrity crush,” but they were like, “Ok, just say somebody.” But I wanted to say somebody who was Black and successful.

Tameka: Um, ok.

Kandi:  Which at the time was Usher.

Tameka:  Oh!

Kandi:  Y’all were not together anymore.

Tameka:  It doesn’t matter.
