Paramount Pictures have released the first trailer to Chris Rock’s showbiz-themed comedy Top Five, which debuts in theaters December 5 with a wider release on December 12.
Originally titled Finally Famous, Top Five tells the story of New York City comedian-turned-film star Andre Allen (Chris Rock), whose unexpected encounter with a journalist (Rosario Dawson) forces him to confront the comedy career—and the past—that he’s left behind. Gabrielle Union stars as Rock’s reality TV fiancée along with J.B. Smoove as Rock’s “security guard-slash-assistant” who is never far from his boss’ side. The film includes an all-star cast with appearances by Kevin Hart, Tracy Morgan, Cedric The Entertainer, Sherri Shepherd, Whoopi Goldberg, Anders Holm, Romany Malco, Leslie Jones, Michael Che, Jay Pharoah and Karlie Redd.
The film is produced by Scott Rudin and Eli Bush. The Co-Producers are Shawn “Jay Z” Carter and Kanye West; the Executive Music Producer is Questlove. Peep the trailer below:
